Accommodation types

List of accommodation types in a hotel room (an adult on a main place, an adult on an extra place, a child on a main place, etc.) (Figure 1).

  • Code – code (abbreviation) of the accommodation type
  • Name – full name of the accommodation type
  • Per room – determines what the accommodation type describes: a room or a place in a room
  • Main adults – number of adults on the main places for the accommodation type
  • Main children – number of children on the main places for the accommodation type
  • Extra adults – number of adults on the extra places for the accommodation type
  • Extra children – number of children on the extra places for the accommodation type
  • Children ages – the automatically generated string, which determines children’s age for the accommodation with children
  • Sort order – determines the order for displaying prices on the accommodation type in the price list
  • Unique code – unique code of the accommodation type is used in the mapping of dictionaries with external travel systems
  • Web – determines what kind of accommodation types will be available for online booking.

Children ages value (unique code) for children accommodation types is automatically generated by the program based on children’s age, which is entered in the form of an additional description of the accommodation type. Children accommodation types without age data are highlighted in red.

Dictionary of accommodation types in a hotel room (without children’s age)

Sort order determines the order for displaying prices on the accommodation type for all hotels. If you need to change the order for the hotel, you can use Sort order by hotels button (for more information, see the section Room types).

For each children accommodation type, you have to enter information about children’s age. Double-click on the row header to open the form for entering these data. (Figure 2).

  • Amount – number of children of a certain age (for accommodation type “per person” – always equal to 1)
  • Age From – lower age limit (inclusive)
  • Age To – upper age limit (inclusive)
  • Is main – determines if the accommodation is on a main place
